New York City Shocked to Discover There Are Things Outside of Manhattan

New York City residents have been left in a state of shock after discovering that there are things outside of Manhattan. The realization came after a group of residents ventured outside of the city limits, an adventure that they admit they were reluctant to embark upon.

"I thought the entire world revolved around New York City," said one resident, who wished to remain anonymous. "But then I saw trees. And grass. And even cows. It was like a whole new world."

Another resident voiced her surprise at the discovery of other cultures outside of the city. "I thought every place looked like Times Square," she said. "But then I saw people speaking different languages and eating different foods. It was like a cultural shock."

Despite initial shock and disbelief, many residents are now excited to explore the vast expanse of lands beyond the bustling metropolis. Some have even expressed interest in visiting small towns and rural areas, a prospect that would have been unthinkable just a few days ago.

While the discovery has opened up a new world for many New Yorkers, it remains to be seen whether this newfound enthusiasm for exploration will have a lasting impact on the city's insular culture. One thing is for sure though, the days of living in a bubble are officially over. The world, it turns out, is much bigger than Manhattan.
