Local Man Upset that Brittney Griner Got All-Star Nod Instead of His 6'2" 12-Year-Old Daughter Who is 'Clearly Better'

In a shocking turn of events, a local man has expressed his outrage over the fact that his 6'2" 12-year-old daughter was not selected for the WNBA All-Star game, despite being, in his words, "clearly better" than those who were chosen. The man, whose name has been withheld to protect his daughter's privacy, spoke to reporters outside of his home earlier today.
"Let me tell you something," he began, "Brittney Griner? No way she's better than my girl. My daughter is a natural athlete. She's got height, speed, and agility. Plus, she's only 12 years old! You think Brittney Griner was that good when she was 12? I doubt it."
The man further elaborated that his daughter has been dominating in her local youth basketball league, often scoring over 50 points per game. He believes that she was overlooked for the All-Star game simply because of her age and the fact that she has not yet achieved national recognition.
When asked for comment, a representative from the WNBA stated that the All-Star team is selected based on a combination of fan voting and the opinions of coaches and players. The representative declined to comment on any specific player, including the man's daughter.
Despite the disappointment, the man remains optimistic about his daughter's future in basketball. "She's got so much potential," he said. "I'm not worried about this All-Star game. She's gonna do big things one day, mark my words."
