King Charles III admits he doesn't actually know who George, Charlotte, and Louis are, but happy to have them at Trooping the Colour anyway

In a shocking revelation, King Charles III has admitted to not actually knowing the identities of his own grandchildren - George, Charlotte, and Louis. But that did not stop him from proudly referring to them as he addressed the crowd gathered to watch the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony.

Sources close to the Royal Family report that Queen Elizabeth II was visibly embarrassed by her son's gaffe. But that did not stop him from being the center of attention, as crowds cheered and snapped photos of the King and his lovely lapel pin.

As the news broke, Twitter exploded with reactions, with many questioning how someone could forget the names of their own grandchildren. Some even speculated that this could be a sign that the Royal Family is losing touch with reality - a fear that many have harbored since the birth of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's baby, Archie. However, others came to the defense of the King, pointing out that he has a lot on his plate to keep track of, what with Brexit and all.

When asked to clarify his comments, King Charles III refused to comment, instead opting to join the parade as it marched down the Mall. It remains to be seen if this will have any long-term ramifications for the Royal Family, but one thing is for sure - it provided plenty of material for the world's best satirists to sink their teeth into.
