Experts Recommend Pretending Your Body Doesn't Exist At All To Achieve Body Positivity

Experts are now recommending pretending your body doesn't exist at all in order to achieve body positivity. This new technique, known as 'body neutrality', allows you to exit body hatred without putting pressure on yourself to magically love every inch of your body and self. Instead, experts suggest that by simply ignoring your body altogether, you can achieve the same level of self-acceptance. Critics of the new technique argue that it's just another excuse for people to avoid dealing with their own self-esteem issues. But supporters point out that it's a much easier and less stressful path to body positivity.
According to a recent study, nearly 80% of women feel dissatisfied with their bodies. 'Body neutrality' aims to address this issue by removing the emphasis on appearance altogether. Instead of focusing on your perceived flaws, experts recommend shifting your focus to your inner qualities. 'We've been conditioned to believe that our bodies are the most important thing about us,' says body positivity advocate Jane Smith. 'But really, our bodies are just vessels for our minds and souls. It's time we started treating them that way.'
While some may see the 'body neutrality' approach as extreme, many advocates believe it's a necessary step in the fight for body positivity. 'We've tried every other approach, and nothing seems to be working,' says Smith. 'Maybe it's time we stopped obsessing over our bodies and started focusing on what really matters.' Whether or not this new approach will catch on remains to be seen, but one thing is certain - the conversation around body positivity is far from over.
